Sharpen your straight razors so they are as effective as day one. Use the unpolished part of the 240 grit to make your straight razors sharp again (so-called roughing stage), then go to the 800 grit side for finishing (or refining).

It recreates the very blunt cutting edge of a straight razor thanks to its great abrasive power. The very thick grit cleans the cutting edge and prepares for a more sharpening on higher grits.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USING THE SHARPENING STONE

Soak the stone for a few minutes in water before using it so that it becomes waterlogged, this creates a layer of water which will remove the residue from the sharpening . This allows you to sharpen quickly and increases the lifespan of your whetstone. Do not exert too much pressure, because the stone works for you.
